12/9/04: Time for some history on this car.
I bought this GTS back in 1983. It has changed hands back and forth between my brother and I about 7 or 8 times. It is currently owned by me.

Drag Racing:
Back in 1985 I bought a Comp-u-car Nitrous system for the car. The car was bone stock. The only changes I made was to put a Holley strip dominator intake, Holley 750 carb and a slightly larger cam. I drove it 260 miles round trip to Englishtown, and the first pass was 11.9 @ 113mph. the only change I made was lower the fuel pressure on the nitrous system and it ran back-to-back 11.66 @ 117mph. not bad considering it ran 14.20 without nitrous. I ran that combo for about 6 years. In 1991 I put the super-charged (B&M 162 blower) 360 out of my Lil Red Express in the car. I drove that back and forth to Atco and made 14 runs in one day. the times were between 11.55 and 11.70 @ 117mph. I could not believe it ran the same as the nitrous combo.

Currently the car has a 360 with the same nitrous system on it from 1985. The original 340 is safely stored in the garage. It has run 12.77 @ 109 mph without nitrous. No current runs on the bottle. It also ran the same with 3.23 gears as it did with the 3.91 gears.
